Aim of the game

The aim of the game is to beat the dealers hand. By getting closer to 9 points than the dealer. Ideally getiing 9 points exactly is the winner. Unless the banker also has 9 points the hand is considered a tie and you automatically go into a showdown and have a 3rd card.

Lets break it down and explain it more:

There are three types of bets a player may wager on - the Player's hand, the Banker's hand, or the Tie bet. A combination of these bets can also be made.

To start the Player and Banker are dealt two cards. All tens and picture cards are worth zero, ( because the object of the game is to achieve closest to 9 points, 10 points would be too much, so any card resembling 10 points cancels itself out and counts as zero , 0) - which means they are not counted towards your total! Aces are worth 1, and all other cards are worth their face value. e.g 7 clubs = 7 points, 3 hearts = 3 points etc. If the value of cards exceeds 9, then the value is adjusted by subtracting 10 from the total.

Example:

Lets say you were dealt a 9 and 7 the total of your points would be 6. Because 9 hearts + 7 clubs would = 16. But because the 10 cancels itself out as the object is to get as close to 9 as possible our total points score is actually 6

Our cardsTotal points

=

9 + 7 =  16   - 10   =   6

The same goes for all card combinations.. e.g:  5 + 5 + 5 = 15 - 10 Your score would be 5

After the first two cards are dealt to both the Player and Dealer, a third additional card may be dealt but the player does not ask for a third card. All additional cards are subject to a third card rule. No hand receives more than three cards. When the Player and Banker hands equal the same total, the hand is declared a Tie. If the value of the cards in either the Player's Hand or the Banker's Hand is an 8 or a 9 (a natural) after receiving their initial two cards then no more cards shall be dealt to either hand. If the value of the cards in the Banker's Hand on the first two cards is 0 to 7 inclusive, the Player's hand shall draw in accordance with the Third Card Rules.

Third Card Rules : If the Player's two cards total :

Banker's HandDraw
0 to 5Player's Hand Must Draw
6 to 7Player's Hand Must Stand
8 to 9Natural (Both Hands Stand)

After the Player's Hand acts on a third card draw, the Banker's Hand receives a third card according to these rules :

HandDraw ?
0 to 2Banker's Hand Must Draw
3 to 6Third card to Player's hand determines draw or stand
7Banker's Hand Must Stand

When the Banker's two cards total between 3-6 :

Banker's HandBanker's Hand Draws When Player's Third Card Is :Banker's Hand Does Not Draw When Player's Third Card Is :
30 - 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 98
42 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 70 - 1 - 8 - 9
54 - 5 - 6 - 70 - 1 - 2 - 3 - 8 - 9
66 - 70 - 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 8 - 9
7Banker's hand must standBanker's hand must stand
8 to 9Natural - Bank standsNatural - Bank stands

If the Player's hand stands on two cards, then a two card Banker hand totalling 3,4,5 must draw and a Banker hand totalling 6 must stand. and thats about it, easy aint it ha ha !
